• Al-Shalan: Facilitating alternative solutions to the challenges facing investors in the education sector is the slogan of the current period

    The Director General of Education in the Eastern Region, Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Shalan, stressed that facilitating and finding alternative solutions to the challenges facing investors in the educational sector is the slogan of the current period. The general trend is to find more partnerships with the business sector and encourage it to open more private schools.

     He expressed his welcome to investors from the Eastern Region at any time. He is calling for the investors to contact with the Department of Education in the region.

     

    This came during a meeting on the monthly in Asharqia Chamber on Tuesday, October 2. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, Vice-President Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Bu'ali, members of the Council, Ibrahim bin Mohammed al-Sheikh, Bandar bin Rafi al-Jabri, Saadoun bin Khaled Khalidi, and Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Ansari, the Secretary-General, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, and businessmen of the Eastern Province.

     

     Al-Shalan, who was the guestspeaker of the meeting, said that the Department of Education in the region will receive (10) new schools from Aramco Saudi Arabia, and Aramco is in the process of rebuilding 5 other schools, as there was continuing communication between the Department and Aramco to build schools in several areas in the Eastern Province.

    He said that the number of students in the Eastern Region has exceeded 500 thousand students and that the number of teachers is up to 50 thousand serve in 1500 schools. This requires concerted efforts with the business sector to reach a learning environment in accordance with the standard specifications.

     

    He pointed out that the Department of Education in the Eastern Region is an integral part of the educational system as its goals and directions are the same goals and directions of the Ministry.

    The creation of a good environment to partnership with the business sector that contributes to the provision of good education opportunities according to various options, as approved by the vision of the Kingdom of 2030, whose provisions were not without reference to education and the importance of promoting it for its fundamental role in the renaissance of nations and peoples.

     

    Al-Shalan pointed to the privatization program and its role in the participation of the business sector in developing educational facilities and improving the level of transportation for students to and from their schools, as well as its role in inventing new and innovative educational methods.

    The program would provide many investment opportunities, whether in construction or maintenance or other areas of investment education.

     

    He pointed to the great role that awaits the business sector in the next stage to participate in the achievement of a comprehensive educational renaissance.

     

    Al-Shalan talked about the educational process and its innovations in line with the vision of the Kingdom of 2030, through increasing in the share of the activity on the schedule, which aims to train students on a variety of activities both inside and outside the school through fieldtrips to factories and institutions, and that all textbooks have been downloaded electronically to reduce the contents of the school bag, which is the door of digital transformation, in addition to the "Future Gate" that has been established by the Ministry to enable the students to review their lessons remotely.

     

    The meeting ended with the presentation of a commemorative shield to the Director General of Education in the Eastern Region, Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Shalan.​
